I know this is a day late. Yesterday was crazy when I got home from work and I didn’t have time to post.
Also, I seemed to have lost my phone last night so I don’t have all the pictures that I took this week. Here are a few that I got off instagram though.

couch to 5k {three weeks down, six to go}

I finished up the 3rd week of the couch to 5k program that I am doing. I felt like this week was a little harder. My shins have been bugging me while I’ve been running and I’m not really sure why. They weren’t bothering me before when I was running occasionally with Dan. Maybe because I’m doing it more often? Or maybe just because I’m running after work and my body is tired? I don’t know. I’ve been trying to stretch more and hopefully that will help.
This past week was a brisk 5 minute warmup walk, jogging for 90 seconds, walking for 90 seconds, jogging for 3 minutes, walking for 3 minutes, then repeating the jogging and walking.
Next week the jogging goes up to 5 minutes and I’m a little nervous about that. I’m sure I can do it though….I just have to push myself.
Also, on a side note, I created the team for the 5k I’m planning on doing. The team is called Team DeDe for my grandmother. We’re going to make awesome t shirts and everything. It will be great and I know she will love it.

Renee’s bridal shower {dessert buffet}

Yesterday we celebrated my friend Renee’s bridal shower. We had a delicious dessert buffet, pretty flowers, yummy champagne and punch, and a bunch of wonderful ladies.

Renee opened some wonderful presents, and decorated herself with some bows.

Renee, and everyone else, had a fabulous afternoon celebrating. And the wedding is less than a month away! Yay!!

couch to 5k {two weeks down, seven to go}

On Sunday, I finished my second week of the couch to 5k program. The weather has been kind of rainy on and off but I did get all of my runs in on the days I wanted to. I felt really tired this week so it seemed a little difficult, but not too bad.

All of week 2 was a brisk 5 minute warmup walk, alternating 90 seconds of jogging and 2 minutes of walking for a total of 20 minutes, then a 5 minute cool down walk.
Next week it starts to get a little harder so we will see how it goes.

walk on the beach {with the boy}

When Dan and I got back from NY, we decided to go for a walk on the beach because the weather was so beautiful. It is one of our favorite things to do together and it was a nice ending to the weekend.
