memorial day weekend {friday}

28 May
This long holiday weekend is packed with activities so I thought I would post about each day separately.
On Friday night, the girls and I went to a bar in downtown Portsmouth to see the Men in Motion – some naked dancing boys. Renee searched it out so it was kind of like bachelorette party number 2. We were in the VIP section so we got to sit on comfy couches right up where the action was.

It was hilarious and really dirty. Renee got a chance to sit in the hot seat, where she was included in the dancing. Lucky her.

After the show, we did some dancing. It was a fabulous night out with the girls.

The only bad thing was that I lost my phone at the bar. I feel a little lost without it. But hopefully we can get a new one through insurance really soon.

Renee’s bachelorette party {Mohegan Sun style}

8 May
My friend Renee is getting married in June and I am lucky enough to be a bridesmaid. I can’t wait until the actual wedding day but all of the prewedding activities are so fun.
This past weekend we celebrated her bachelorette party. Five of us went to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and it was a blast! We stayed at the Hyatt that is 5 minutes from the casino but has a free shuttle that goes back and forth so we didn’t have to worry about driving. We all got dressed in our pretty dresses and heels and headed over to the casino. We did some gambling – all slot machines because none of us wanted to try the tables. We pretty much all lost some money but it will still fun.

Then we headed to dinner at Sol Toro, a mexican restaurant right in Mohegan Sun. It was packed because it was Cinco de Mayo. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. And we got to wear a sombrero so that just makes everything better.

After dinner, we headed over to the club to get our dance on. We had so much fun. We found a little area that had seats and a dance area and barely any people. It was perfect. We could dance or sit. We all ended up with our shoes off at some point and we were just dancing all night. It was a great ending to the night.

We went back to the hotel and had a glass of champagne and all headed to bed. The next morning we got breakfast at the hotel the we left to head home. It was a great weekend and I know Renee had a great time at her bachelorette party which is the most important part.
